While volunteering I got to sit with Mat Lucas. He does the voice of Anakin Skywalker for the Animated Clone Wars, and the video games as well. He seems like a really nice guy.. I found out that he cuts the promos for the CW. So whenever you hear coming up next on the cw, thats him. He does alot of editing any other things as well. So it was really exciting to talking to him, someone in the business and I hope to take some of his pointers to get into the business..

This is Jason, Michele, Chris, and Myself on the way to the airport. For the most part we were being goofy.

On the way to the airport we seen helocopters floating arond. We didnt know what was going on, but it was interesting.

And this is us approaching LAX.

It was sad to go. I had a lot of fun, and didnt want the trip to end. But it did. I hope to to go back someday. And Im definately going to C5 whenever they decide to have it.

Yes thats right. Thats me and Kristen Bell aka Veronica Mars herself. Since I knew she was in Fanboys I was hoping there was a chance that I could meet her and get a picture with her. And it almost didnt happen. I was coming from the Family Guy panel with Seth Mcfarlane hich I got an autograph from him which is cool in its own right I rushed down to the other room where the fanboys panel was. As soon as I got there they closed the doors and said no one else is aloud in. I got so bummed and just stood there. When all of a sudden Kristen Bell comes walking up. I immediately perked up and asked for a photograph and she said sure. She puts her arm around me as I leaned down and I snapped the photo. The crew let her and and then they let me in with her. So I got to talk to her for a minute. I told her Im a huge fan of the show, and I was totally bummed when they cancelled it. I asked her if there was any news on the pilot they shot where they take veronica after college going into the FBI. She said that they wont find anything out till June 15th. I wished her luck with the pilot and all her future ventures. She said thanks and we parted ways. She was so friendly and nice. I have to say she is really short in person. And I also have to say that pictures do her no justice. She is so hot in person. Theres like a total natural beauty with her. So meeting her set me on cloud 9 the rest of the day. Oh yeah, and during the fanboys panel. They showed this little picture..

Anyway, heres some other pictures from the day.

From there I went to the Family Guy panel with Seth Mc Farlane It was very very funny with them showing 10 minutes of next seasons premiere which is an hour long Star wars episode. I actually got videotape of that, but Im having a little trouble converting it today so ill try to get this up as soon as possible. I cant wait to see the ful episode. They talked about alot of upcoming stuff. Next season is going to rock.. I also got Seth to sign my badge. YAY!!!

Then I went to the Fanboys panel where I met Kristen Bell. Heres a couple other pics I took of the panel.

Later that evening I went to A Coversation with Carrie Fisher. She told us of stories on the set and other events that have happend. She was really really funny and I didnt want it to end..

I went to the Lucasfilm Archive Exhibit. There was some cool stuff there. Unfortunately, there wasnt enough of it..

I got to see a sneak preview of Fanboys. A movie coming out probably in January about the star wars geeks trying to break into skywalker ranch to get a print of episode 1 before it comes out. If you are a star wars fan, you will love this movie. I got to see 45 minutes of footage, and it was hysterical... Kristen Bell of Veronica Mars fame is in the movie and was on hand. Unfortunately I was only able to snap off 1 picture before they told us to stop, and ofcourse it was blurry.

Opening Ceremonies was a blast. I didnt get too many pictures because I videotaped most of it. Lets just say we sang happy birthday to Star Wars. Everyone in the hall got a piece of cake. We had previews of things to come. A message from George Lucas. Some singing, some dancing. And a boba fett flying across the room witih a jet pack. It was a good good time.

After years and years of being friends on LJ, I finally got to meet the great . I have to say if we lived closer I think we would go out drinking talking about lost, star wars, and battlestar galactica.

Today there is a lot of panels that I want to go to. So I dont know how much picture taking I will be doing. There is a sneak preview of the movie fanboys coming out this summer I believe. And my girl Kristen Bell will be in the house. I am hoping I can get close enough to get my picture taken with her. I think she is swell...

After getting denied @ The Price is Right we decided to walk around. We seemed to walk around forever.. We tracked all over Santa Monica Blvd, Sunset, and Hollywood Blvd. Seriously, my legs are hurting.. So we started out at Canters Bakery. It was a cool place with all kinds of goodies.. No we did not try any... But we sure wanted to.

From there we walked around Santa Monica Blvd. We found all kinds of things... No, we didnt get any really gay toys...

We found a funny store that had some very interesting underwear.. Here you have Michele showing you how she cups the ballsack..

By noon we got really hungry and I was told that In-n-Out Burger was the way to go. And I have to say they have some great milkshakes and burgers.. We need to get one of those in Pittsburgh.

LA has a lot of cool architecture. And alot of buildings seem to be covered in Ivy, or other types of plants. This was one of the many cool ones we saw..

We met a rapper selling his cd's to people on the street. His name is Urhighness. I dont have a picture of him but I do have video of him. Ill have to post that soon.. Its funny shit.

When we finally got Hollywood Blvd. we got to see the walk of fame, Chinese Theather, and all kinds of other goodies.. Heres just some of the many pictures that I took..

One thing we did get tangled up with was the American Idol Finale shit. I did however get a shot of Justin from season 1 and some other people I dont know. No I dont like American Idol, I never watched it.. But Jolene watched the first season atleast. So Thats how I know Justin.

And I believe that is all. I took a bunch of pictures on the Walk, but Im sure I dont want to bore you with pictures of stars of everyone... Bright and early tommorrow I will be going to C4 I cant wait. Im soo excited for it. Again, Ill try to get an update at some point throughout the day.. Hope all is well, and have a good night...

So we got on the plane and flew to Atlanta for our connecting flight to LA. 4 + hours later and we touched down. A $50 cab ride later and we get to the hotel. This is what the hotel looks like in the lobby.

So once we checked in we got something to eat @ Quizno's. It was ok.. Nothing stellar there. Then we took a walk to Convention Center to pick up our will-call tickets for C4. Along the way we some some interesting things..

One cool thing is we got to see a blow up Death Star which turns out to be pretty big..

The rest of the night is relaxing and getting ready for The Price is Right tommorrow. We are all pretty excited about this so lets hope everything goes our way and we get on. I want to say goodbye to Bob..

So LA is an ok place so far. Cant really complain about it because I havent seen enough of it. After tommorrow I will be seeing mostly the convention center for Celebration 4. And I cant wait.

I woke up @ 4am not being able to sleep so I decided to start getting ready. Here I am trying to do that shaving thing..

And then I was ready. Of course, I couldnt leave without this....

When I got @ the convention center there was already a line. But luckily I was only 200 people back or so from the door.

It was very cold. The had rained in the early morning and made everything wet so you couldnt really sit down. You had to keep moving just to keep warm. Of course, I was a dumbass and was wearing shorts and a t-shirt. @ one point in time you can see my veins all purple and stuff. It was not pretty...

So there was the local authorities walking around keeping crowd control.

There was people in line from all over the galaxy. There were foreigners everywhere.

Some people had some really kick ass costumes.

Its a Trap!

This is the nice family that adopted me since I was down there all alone. They were really nice people from the Green Bay area I believe. We had a good ol' time waiting in line for 6 hours. When we werent shivering and BS'ing we were @ starbucks across the street getting some Chai Tea. Yum... They were also the first people to get a copy of my fan film on dvd. I had made copies to hand out to people and they got the first one. They even made me sign it. Wow. My first autograph. But it wasnt my last of the weekend.....

6 hours later I was inside..... I went directly to the CIII Store to get the exclusives that I wanted. The Talking Darth Vader Figures, the Yoda Hoodie, the CIII Blanket & the messenger bag. It was all golden....

After waiting 3 hours in line for the store I finally got my stuff. I moved over to the side so I can sort through my things and I was approached by a japanese girl. She asked me if I would like to do an interview for Japanese TV (NTV). and I said hell yeah. So There I was. Getting interviewed. They asked me about how big of a star wars fan I am. and what it means to me. I even plugged my fan film. So that was pretty cool. So if anyone sees me on NTV in Japan, let me know!!!

Then it was off to the Exhibit Hall D. Which had all of the vendors selling there Star Wars goodies. There was soo many cool things for sale. I wish I wouldve had more money to get somethings. But I did get some cool ass pictures.

One of the coolest things was the lego booth. They had life sized lego's that just kicked ass. Chewie, Vader, R2, and of one of the new Star Destroyers. That kicked serious ass..

There was alot of cool things to see.

After a long day of waiting a total of 9 hours in lines I decided to go to the Opening Ceremonies. Which meant, More Lines!!

Once inside I ended up getting a close seat.

Steve Sansweet (Director of Content Management and head of Fan Relations for Lucasfilm) came out and got the ceremonies underway. We were greeted with videos of Samuel L Jackson, Ewan, Natalie, Hayden, Ian, and Christopher Lee who couldnt be there. They gave us some previews of some shows going on throughout the weekend and eventually they brought up all of the stars onstage that were signing autographs, etc..etc..

Afterwards I found my way back to the hotel but before that I went to Denny's to get some grub. I ran into some people who were @ the convention and we started talking etc..etc.. One of those people were Jayson. Jayson was from Illinois if I remember correctly. We had alot of the same interests etc..etc.. so we got along great. We ended up car pooling and hanging out the rest of the weekend. It made the weekend alot nicer knowing someone else. Unfortunately, this photo didnt turn out that good. Jay, if you are reading this, you gotta send me your photos.

So the next day I got up early and waited inline to get in the doors. When I finally got in I went to the line to see Hayden Live from Italy!. But they announced that it was only going to be audio so I said screw that and I went to see Rick McCallum's Ep III Spectacular. And I would have to say that it was exactly that. Spectacular. If you had any doubts about this movie. Dont. You wont be disapointed. From the footage I seen from that, and some of the other things around the convention, everyone should enjoy this.....

After the footage we had a Q & A with Rick. He told us about the Young Indy dvd and why it was taking so long etc..etc.. And more things about star wars. It was a really cool session and he seems like a very nice guy. afterwards I snuck up to the front to get my picture taken with him. I also gave him a copy of my fan film on dvd. (Go Me!) So who knows, maybe he'll watch it... but just look @ the funny faces he made on film......

After that I ran into R2D2 in the hall..

Then I went to see Nick Gillard (stunt/light saber coordinator) in the Sagamore Balroom. He was interviewed by Jay La'gai (who played Captain Typo in Ep 2 & 3) And then there was a Q&A session. It was really cool and he seems like a nice guy too.

Today was a busy day. I went to see John Knoll (head of Special Effects) right after. He showed us pictures from all 6 movies from behind the scenes etc.etc.. on how they did things. He's also writing a book thats coming out later this year. It looks to be pretty cool. Then he showed us some rendering mistakes from Ep III and some outakes that they guys did as jokes. there was some really neat stuff in there.

Afterwards I went into some of the other halls.

Then I checked out Autograph Hall. Just to see some of the stars in person. While walking through I came across Bai Ling. Who is pretty hot. And she knew how to work it too. I swear she should just do porn because she pretty much likes being half naked and showing it off anyway. This day she was wearing a see-through top with no bra. And the skirt was so short. She kept pulling it down during photos to show off her thong.

She pretty much wore something slutty the entire weekend. This is what she looked like sunday. And I finally got my picture taken with her.

Later that night I went to the fan film awards. It was alright. Of course I was bitter that mine didnt get selected at all. but what can you do. Warwick Davis was the host for that and he ended up getting an award as well for being a pioneer for being the first to do a fan film. (during ROTJ he did a short film but I cant remember the name of it. Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill Carrie Fisher and pretty much everyone else was in it. He played himself/Wicket trying to get to the forest on endor. It wasnt bad. but the quality was really shitty.

After the fan film awards I went back to dennys to get some grub. I met up with Jayson and we arranged to get up early in the morning to see George Lucas.

So, I go to bed @ 1:30 only to get up @ 3:30 to get in line to see George Lucas. It was a big deal because he hasnt made an appearance @ a convention since 1987. Here is the line we were in @ 4:30am.

Since it was cold they started letting us in the Convention Center early. But of course there was someone directing traffic.

Look! Its George Lucas! It was nice to get to see him. Though it was only a 1/2 hour it was still worth it. There was a short Q&A and he touched on the tv shows in development. 1 live action set between Ep 3 & 4. And a CGI one based on the clone wars. Cool shit...!!

Jayson and I took a break and got some nachos in the fan club lounge. It was a cool because few minutes later there was a meet and great with Jake Loyd. He walked right in and up to our table and said "Hey guys, whats up?" We had a short conversation before he got mobbed. But he seemed really cool.

Then we went and seen Star Wars in 30 minutes and 1 man SW Trilogy. Both were really good. If you ever get a chance to see them. Do so.

Eventually we made our way to the line for Celebration @ Celebration III. Which was a big party for everyone. On the way in we almost got ran over by Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca).

I told everyone to get close together and smile....

These people came all the way from Australlia

Inside was like a carnival with food, alcohol, games, etc..etc.. I picked up a t-shirt for Celebration @ Celebration III and got my fortune told. It was right on it was almost scary... Here are the cards....

I met Steve Sansweet and got my picture taken with him. Though someone was making faces @ him so we took it again..

After C@CIII I went back to the hotel and crashed. It had been a long day...

Sunday I decided to sleep in and not wait inline. Which was a good thing. Jayson and I got there about 10ish. I went to the Fan Club Lounge to meet Pablo Hidaigo. He's the guy that does most of the web content on Hyperspace. Such as all the set diaries for Ep 3 and so on. So I hung out with him for about an hour. There was a decent sized group and we talked about all kinds of things. It was really nice. During that time the Webcam was on and pointed directly at me so if you go to the CIII webcam archives you can see me from 10:22am on sunday till about 10:53am

Afterwards I went to see Matt Wood who voiced General Grevious. He told us how he got the part of G and some other interesting tidbits. It was a good time. Jay La'gai got him to say "do you want fries with that" in the Grevious Voice. It was funny as hell.

Afterwards we took another walk around and nearly got run over by Ray Park. Then we headed to Denny's before the trip home. And then it was another 6 hour drive... I was not happy about that...

And unfortunately, it decided to snow. So I had to drive through that as well...

All in all it was a fun trip. I will definately do it again if they have one. that was too much fun. And I have lots of pics and stuff to remember it by.

I kinda felt bad for this girl. She couldnt move from the one room for over an hour because people kept wanting to get pictures taken with her.

by far the best costume period was Grevious. His top arms were springloaded and popped out. It was cool as hell...
